We know what you will tell us in the end… that you wish you had a few more days. But with time limited, you will already have excellent opportunities to visit the main points of interest on the island and take with you much of the Madeiran spirit in its knowledge and flavors. Above all, you will be simply enchanted by the extraordinary beauty of Nature and you will understand why they call it Garden Island.

Day 1

Levada do Risco. This is a 3 kilometer walk along which you will be able to appreciate the natural beauty of the island.

Ponta do Pargo lighthouse, situated on the westernmost point of the island, rising up from a cliff at an altitude of 290 metres.

Lunch at Farolim Restaurant

Achadas da Cruz Viewpoint. Stop to enjoy the views over the Atlantic and the Fajã da Achadas da Cruz, including a trip by cable car.

Miradouro da Santa (Santa Belvedere). Stop for a fantastic photo stop with a view over the village of Porto Moniz and the Ilhéu Mole.

Porto Moniz village. Walk through the village and its natural pools. Visit the Aquarium or the Living Science Centre.

Day 2

Queimadas Park in Santana. Walking tour where you will be able to observe the flora of the Laurissilva Forest.

Houses of Santana. Typical Madeiran houses, dating back to the discovery of the island.

Lunch at O Colmo Restaurant

Theme Park of Santana. Visit to one of the biggest attractions of the island, with an exhibition area dedicated to the History, Science and Tradition of the Madeira Archipelago.

Ponta de São Lourenço. Peninsula of volcanic origin, mostly basalt, classified as a partial natural reserve and the Desembarcadouro islet as an integral natural reserve.

Day 3

Funchal cable car. Trip through the skies with the city at your feet, a dazzling contrast between the green splashed with color, and the intense blue of the sea.

Monte Palace. Visit to the garden full of exotic fauna and flora. Option of visiting the exhibition space with three galleries: sculpture and collection of minerals from the 4 corners of the world.

Carreiros do Monte. Ready for the descent? Adrenaline to the maximum on the descent with the typical baskets of the island. You just have to let yourself go.

Lunch at Pico dos Barcelos

Pico dos Barcelos Viewpoint. You will lose yourself in a unique view of a breathtaking panoramic view over the bay and the city of Funchal, with the Desertas islands in the background.

Eira do Serrado. Another viewpoint to lose sight of. At 1095 m altitude this time you will have a plenitude over the municipality of Câmara de Lobos, in the ‘heart’ of the island.

Curral das Freiras. After contemplating it from the viewpoint, you will visit the heart of this small parish, surrounded by huge mountains, in a cauldron formed, it is believed, by volcanic activities.

Pico do Areeiro. We climb to the second highest point of the island, situated at 1818 meters of altitude, it gives us a fantastic view over the central massif of Madeira.
