The typical houses of Santana are a must in Madeira. Unique in their colors and triangular shape, covered by thatch. In other times, they had at the top an attic where agricultural products were kept, and at the bottom the residential area. It will be the Levada das Queimadas, starting at Caldeirão Verde that will take us to Santana. Along the way you can see the orography of the interior of the island.
